Q.  What if I don't do well in the 1st round? 

A.  Registration guarantees you get to participate in all rounds of both Parkour and Warrior competition

 

Q.  How long will the competition take?

A.  Allow a minimum of 2 hours for each age group to compete and receive awards.  Start time per age group will be posted on the website and will be based on number of participants and flights per age group.

 

Q.  How is the Parkour competition scored? 

A.  Both speed rounds are timed and have penalties for missing targets.  Faster times are better.  The freestyle round is judged and you will get a score from 0-40, 10 points coming from each of the 4 categories; flow, creativity, difficulty and execution.  Every round is weighted equally and final scores will be based on ranking within your flight/age group.  Ranked 1st in your flight/age group is 1 point, 2nd is 2 points, 3rd is 3 points and so on.  The athlete with the lowest total score from all 3 rounds will be the Parkidz Champion for their  flight/age group.  All athletes will receive an event medal.

 

Q.  How is the Warrior competition scored?

A.  All 3 rounds are based on the time it takes you to complete each course.  Faster times are better.  Each round is weighted equally and final scores will be based on the ranking within your flight/age group.  Ranked 1st in your flight/age group is 1 point, 2nd is 2 points, 3rd is 3 points and so on.  The athlete with the lowest total score from all 3 rounds will be the American Warrior Champion for their  flight/age group.  All athletes will receive an event medal. 

 

Q. What does the registration fee include?

A.  The registration fee allows the athlete to compete in the Parkour and Warrior competition.  Each athlete will receive an event t-shirt as a gift for participating in the competition.  All athletes will receive an award medal based on final total scores.  One t-shirt per registration. 

 

Q. Are parents allowed on the competition floor?

A.  No, parents are not allowed on the competition floor.
